REQUIREMENTS: Act 24 Arrest/Conviction Certification; Act 34 Criminal Clearance; Act 151 Child Line Clearance; Act 114 FBI Fingerprinting Security Clearances; Act 168 Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release and SafeSchools Training
Duties & Responsibilities:
New Students: Summer Responsibilities
- Request records from previous schools
- Schedule appointments with counselor
- Create files
- Assign homeroom and counselor in PowerSchool
- Notify special education for IEP meeting if special education student
- Process summer school grads transcripts
- Enter summer school grades
- Send transcripts to colleges for students who have transferred colleges
- Verify graduation and enrollment
Current Students:
- Process transcript requests
- Submit transcripts to colleges and employers
- Update school profile
- Send out SAT and ACT scores
- Verify enrollment for SS disabilities and/or parental support
- Schedule military recruiters
- Verify graduation date (and expected graduation date)
- Resolve Naviance issues
- Assist students with college applications
- Schedule college visits and instant decision days
- Upload teacher documents into Naviance for colleges recommendations
- Assist colleges regarding application issues
- Process transcript for NCAA
- Process ACT test accommodations
- Update student files with address changes and/or parental changes
- Send records to new schools
- Process international fellows’ documents
- Provide notary duties
- Print out directories for all students
- Assist with senior survey in Naviance
- Run rank report
- Process mid-year and final transcripts
- Work with outside agencies to schedule students for appointments
- Process end of year student status: retained, promoted, summer school
- Purge files once graduated or withdrawn
Past Graduates:
- Verify graduation
- Process transcripts
Daily Duties:
- Process mail
- Schedule students for counselors
- Verify enrollment, graduation, classes
- Submit records for probation, social security office of disabilities, placement, and employment and job corps
