POSITION: Level 2 Student Services Secretary (part-time) - Contracted
$15.64/hr - 24hrs/wk

JOB SUMMARY: Provide clerical support to the Assistant Director of Student Services in a manner that is professional, diplomatic, and complies with confidentiality requirements.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform clerical duties such as answering the phone; opening and distributing mail; scheduling appointments; typing correspondences, meeting agendas, and memos; filing; etc.
- Oversee tracking of student services documents (504 & Gifted) documents for students within a school-based data system.
3. File student documents and upload student documents within a school-based data system upon enrolling in CASD, graduating or withdrawing from CASD.
4. Provide student information to other school entities in the event that a student moves from the district.
5. Gather requested documents when social security packets are received from the Department of Disabilities.
6. Assist with early intervention transition paperwork at the end of the school year which takes preschool children to school age programs.
7.Track out of school suspensions and in school suspensions within a school-based data system.
8. Coordinate Psychiatric Evaluations.
9. Maintain school-based data systems and provide reports, when necessary.
10. Attend and participate in all required meetings and trainings.
11. Perform other duties as assigned by the Direct and Assistant Director(s) of Student Services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two (2) years experience as a secretary preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent is necessary
- Diploma from an accredited secretarial training program preferred
- Submission of pre-employment medical examination (Section 148 of the Pennsylvania School Code)
- Submission of a report of criminal history record from the Pennsylvania State Police (Section 111 of the Pennsylvania School Code)
- Nonresidents and Pennsylvania residents who have not resided in the Commonwealth for at least two years prior to the date of application for employment are required to obtain an FBI Criminal History Record
- Submission of a clearance report from the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare in accordance with Act 151 of 1994
- Submission of the Arrest/Conviction Report and Certification Form as required under Act 24 of 201
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to reach above and below the waist
- Ability to use fingers to pick, feel and grasp objects
- Ability to use both hands for repetitive motion
- Some bending, stooping and twisting of the body required
- Ability to lift and/or carry supplies and/or papers weighing no more than 20 lbs.
- Ability to mostly sit with some standing or walking/moving throughout the work environment
